AUSTRALIA ~ The Antipodes

AUSTRALIA ~ The Antipodes
I love a sunburnt country / A land of sweeping plains / Of ragged mountain ranges / Of droughts and flooding rains / I love her far horizons / I love her jewel-sea / Her beauty and her terror / The wide brown land for me / ~ Dorothea Mackellar (1885-1968)

Through the Looking Glass

Pic by Gemma Wiseman ~ It looks like a small lake with a mini pontoon creating a delightful reflection.
Actually, this is a puddle - just an extract of a giant puddle - outside the brand new Science block at school.
And the pontoon is really stranded crates!
(We have had more rain over the last several weeks than I have seen in my lifetime!
This day saw a little sunshine that lasted about an hour!)

Great reflections in your photo...and I do like the double meaning in your haiku..we definitely need to reflect on our wasteful ways and the mess they have gotten us into!

Thank you for your thoughtful comments on my posts..so glad you stopped by.
Hope the sun is shining for you again!

That is so cool a water reflection inside of a window reflection. Very nice!

This reflection is so "picture perfect" that it took me a moment to realize I wasn't looking from the inside out, but was indeed looking at a reflection on a door. Nicely captured.
