you capture some unique shadows, Gemma. i'm sorry to hear about the Australian lives lost in war. i'll never understand war but i have to say i'm proud of the men/ women who fight for our countries. also, love that 100 year calendar you have. have a great weekend.

That is a BIG speaker. Alien in style, massive in appearance and loud in tone, it is and should remain caged - protecting the public!

Yes, I agree with Ralph! Keep that one in a cage!! What a great shadow shot, Gemma! Hope your weekend is going well! Enjoy!

I never would have guessed the speaker and cage would make such a neat shadow...but it DOES!

What a great shadow shot, and I agree with the others it certainly is a big speaker.

That is a great shadow! I have to wonder what sort of provocative messages are coming out of the loudspeaker...

Gemma...it's a great photo, but a spectacular haiku! So pleased to meet another fan of that form. This is my first Shadow Sunday, but it won't be my last.

If you get a chance, you might check out my second blog for the few haikus I have posted there. I'm glad I stopped by...

Good thing this creature is caged, looks ominous...sunshine aye...you go girl and enjoy every bit of it. Even as we are back in the sweltering heat this week, there's a looming dread of what's to come.

Most of us here in the state's love Autumn season best. Our busy summer of travel, home repairs, mowing grass and weeding the gardens will soon come to rest...and cooler temps will arrive and we'll open our windows and doors again until the frigid air forces them closed for our long hibernation...YUCK WINTER!!! This is the time(age)of our lives when we start thinking of becoming 'snow birds' and take flight to Florida or Arizona where the weather is yummy all winter long, even the locals love it.

Progress is coming along on my building, I expect it to be delivered next week some time...then the transformation will begin...weeeeee!!! I can finally get all the crap out of my house that has been accumulating in anticipation of the shop's opening.

Had a good day at the store yesterday, sold several pieces of furniture, so now I must go shopping...hey, it's a dirty job, but somebody has to do it...ha!

Have fun in the sun dearest friend...here's a big ol' Ioway smooch for a dear sweet soul sister!!!

beautiful shadow shot! Makes me realize, once again, how lucky we are to be found by such images.
