The water looks cold! I bet the sound of the waves crashing onto the beach was wonderful.

They certainly are churned, Gemma.

Living by the sea, you get to see it during all weather conditions: still as a pond when there is no wind; great crashing waves during a storm; and gentle lapping waves on a lazy sunny day. Never freezes here, though.

i can almost feel the energy of the waves...

I need my beach coat! That looks cold (a way that the Pacific Coast in Oregon looks pretty often, even in the summer). Now that we're here in Florida, it's a different ocean and a different story!

very powerful shot! the water seems to engulf anything on its path.

Nothing is quite as beautiful as the sea!!! Even in winter there is a beckoning call from the waves.

My Wednesday post -Tall Sail Ships Arriving. Lots of photos! Hope you can come take the tour with me!

What a dramatic scene indeed.

I don't know what's the weather when you took this shot, but it feels as if I need to be wearing a sweater when I walk the beach. I could almost hear the splash.
