AUSTRALIA ~ The Antipodes

AUSTRALIA ~ The Antipodes
I love a sunburnt country / A land of sweeping plains / Of ragged mountain ranges / Of droughts and flooding rains / I love her far horizons / I love her jewel-sea / Her beauty and her terror / The wide brown land for me / ~ Dorothea Mackellar (1885-1968)

Preponderance

Pic by Gemma Wiseman ~ The never-ending grocery docket - is there a pronderance of want over need?
~
One Single Impression #125 ~ Preponderance
~

Usually
A preponderance implies an ugly weight
Pushing the boundaries of the bearable
Sweeteners too sweet
Sour tensions in overload

Like the lengthy
Weekly
Grocery docket
Where the final want list seems longer than the intention
And the ultimate cost is
The weighty consequence of
Unfettered needs

But imagine
A preponderance of
Love
Shining
World-wide

No docket charge
No dueling wants and needs

In fact
Can there be such a thing?

Too little love is a travesty
But too much is not an option
~

Wouldn't it be nice if this could be true and love would blanket the world and melt all hate and greed and fear? You present this idea very well. I like the analogy with the grocery list and how wants exceed need.

I am with Kathie Gemma,

yes, this world would be a better place to live if there exists a preponderance of love...:-)
