AUSTRALIA ~ The Antipodes
I love a sunburnt country / A land of sweeping plains / Of ragged mountain ranges / Of droughts and flooding rains / I love her far horizons / I love her jewel-sea / Her beauty and her terror / The wide brown land for me / ~ Dorothea Mackellar (1885-1968)

As the Holocaust passes from living memory, I worry for the future. Like the atom bomb, it needs to remain a never-again event, but humans have such poor memories.

That artwork outside the museum is beautiful and chilling at the same time. A truly gifted artist.

What a powerful Collage or words and pictures depicting the reminder and remnants of truly-lived-horror.

Aside from the obvious horror, It struck me what the artist must have been feeling during the creation of those pieces. Where would you go in your self to pull that out. They are haunting, horrifyingly beautiful. Thank you for sharing this.

So sad, but it MUST be kept alive, we can't forget history.

What Bunnygirl said. And thank you for this powerful post. People must never, ever forget the lessons of history or the horrors that are wrought by hate and fanaticism.
