Wonderful Covered Rust Bucket

Pic by Gemma Wiseman ~ Believe it or not, this is a water tank, storing water for garden use.
The owner used an old corrugated drum, a recycled cover from "somewhere" + what appears to be some kind of sieve inserted in the cover.
An old pipe drips water from the roofline and
VOILA!

Nice water tank for garden use. I don't think I'd like to drink water out of it. Thanks for stopping in at mayarn.

Smart idea! In several of our western States, however, it is (believe it or not) illegal to catch rainwater from one's own roof. Somehow catching rainwater violates a state's water-rights laws. If you break the law, you can be fined. Insanity!

Still useful even if it is rusted!

Hey, great job on that. You definitely got it COVERED. Thanks for dropping by my blog and I hope I see you again soon.

Good choice! What looks like garbage could still have a use. Catching rain-water is very common especially in rural Cambodia... and they use huge clay jars to store the water. Thanks for visiting my blog.
I'm also interested in your Weekend Mailbox meme, and I am thinking of joining tomorrow via my Postcards Crossing blog.

So unique but so beautiful. I like the older corrugated metal drum better than the ugly plastic ones they sell here in the states for rain barrels.
