You know what I likey!!! Is that not the coolest ironwork ever...I'm so drawn to old architectural features, like a bee to honey!

Your Autumn skies are just mystical...and don't you just love the word Autumn, it just conjures up such glorious works in Nature, a season of color change and livable weathers.

We here in the states are now reveling in the Spring, 'cept for those effected by floods and tornadoes. I'll be down in my basement cleaning out my little space to hide in, just in case the storm sirens go off. That is such a terrifying sound, it even scares the crap out of Scratchy the Fearless...ha! But it sure does make for great storm photos...if you're brave enough to stand there.

We've had glorious weather, in the 80's and my toes are finally enjoying their freedom and newly decorated tattoos of dirt...ahhhh...Spring!

Hope you're not working too hard dear sister, I'll be thinking of you as I lallygag on my porch swing enjoying my season at last...listening to bird chatter and watching the flowers burst out of the barren landscape. Such a transformation in life's activities, guess that's why us Northerners stay fixed here...though I wouldn't mind a brief hiatus from the snows in the winter...and off to the warm shores of Florida...maybe this year!!!

Hope you're having a wonderful Easter with family and know that you are loved from across the pond!!

Spring warmed hugs from Iowa...USA!!!

happy Easter.

What an absolutely gorgeous shadow shot, Gemma! Amazing to think of "iron" as being delicate and lacy, but it is! Hope you have a wonderful Easter weekend! Enjoy!

Love your fine delicate looking iron work shadow shot!

The awning leaves such interesting and imaginative shadows. I see a ferris wheel almost spinning on the back wall as well as delicate lace. An artistic capture, the mundane full of style and never boring!

I love your shot. I agree with Beverley, the iron looks like lace.

What a beautiful shadow!

This is great! I love how the shadows are so perfectly framed by the awnings too! I hope you have a most wonderul Easter long weekend Gemma! Actually, come to think of it, you may be on holidays now being a teacher. Or maybe school holidays are at different times where you are. The Qld kiddies are on holidays now.

The island I've moved to is called Macleay Island. You've probably not heard of it as it's not a very touristy kind of island. Which makes it nice and quiet :)

What a beautiful capture! I love iron lace, probably too much. Lucky I've never had the opportunity to design my own house. I have a feeling there would be too much iron lace for the average person's taste!
