AUSTRALIA ~ The Antipodes

AUSTRALIA ~ The Antipodes
I love a sunburnt country / A land of sweeping plains / Of ragged mountain ranges / Of droughts and flooding rains / I love her far horizons / I love her jewel-sea / Her beauty and her terror / The wide brown land for me / ~ Dorothea Mackellar (1885-1968)

Some Are Unknown

Pic by Gemma Wiseman ~ An outdoor stage near Rosebud beach, Mornington Peninsula.
It gets a little use, but not many even know it exists.
~
Carry on Tuesday #44 ~ This week our prompt is the opening of Isabel Allende’s 1999 novel Daughter of Fortune:
Everyone is born with some special talent
~

Beyond the famous
Singers
Actors
Painters
Writers
Beyond the infamous
Politicians
Property agents
Entrepreneurs
Skilled at
Bending
Minds and wills
There are quiet spirits
Who may never earn a public record
Those who dare to challenge
The dark
The unsavoury
The deserts
The wastelands
(Real or surreal)
And simply plant
The beauty of a single rose
Let it grow
And move on
~
Everyone is born with some special talent
Just not everyone knows
~

I love the whole concept and the planting of the single rose was exquisite.
