Winter Evening Skies and Night Lights

Pic by Gemma Wiseman ~ Winter evening skies and night lights in the Dromana Hills, Mornington Peninsula
NOTE: My old Samsung camera took a fast ride to camera heaven.
This post is in memory of a simple but faithful camera and a celebration of my new Canon PowerShot A2000IS.
These are the first photos from my new camera.

Mascots of Spring to Come
Pic by Gemma Wiseman ~ Even though there are many bare boughs, there are some flowers, like this camellia, beginning to bloom in Winter ~ Dromana Hills, Mornington Peninsula.
I took these photos yesterday on a balmy Winter's afternoon.
The tree in the background is a leafless liquid amber.

Shy Siamese
Pic by Gemma Wiseman ~ My neighbours' siamese cat.
They use their home mainly as a weekender.
Two cats and two dogs travel with them.
This cat is quite nervous with strangers and does not like going outside at all.
So my neighbours keep her in this large cat run for awhile.

Calm Spirit of Kookaburras
Pic by Gemma Wiseman ~ It has been awhile since I posted a photo of one of our wild kookaburra friends, here in the Dromana Hills, Mornington Peninsula.
So here is one from a recent, still dark winter morning.
That is the perfect time for them to arrive for food before the onset of other feathered wildlife.
