Spring Brings Out Odd Shots!

Pic by Gemma Wiseman ~ Yesterday, one lone seagull whirled the late afternoon skies and then landed on our roof in the Dromana Hills, Mornington Peninsula.
He chose to be right near a cockatoo.
Spring madness?
Yes! We can see the waters of Port Phillip Bay, but we are set back from the immediate coast, partway up Arthurs Seat mountain!
Why would one lone seagull travel here?

Like a weird odd couple, those lovely birds. Great captures. There is something majestic about the bottom photo, with one close looking regal and the other off in the distance.

You've captured the odd couple indeed. Your photos are great especially that last one. I also like the writing accompanying these pictures. Great work. Have a wonderful night.

Is he a polititian? He probably popped over for a photo opportunity.
You have a lot of Sulphur Crested Cockatoos, I hope you don't have wooden window or door frames, they caan do a lot of damage when they are bored.

LOL... They are an 'odd couple'. Maybe the gull was attracted by the beautiful crest on the other bird. It would be great if the wildlife could talk and we could find out what they were thinking. Nice that you are getting your spring Gemma... Michelle

Love that second one, especially. Maybe it's a nearsighted seagull... "looking for love in all the wrong places"?
