Oh, how lovely! This actually reminds me of some Japanese art my Dad bought when he was in Japan in th 1950's. So simple, yet so beautiful!

Gemma, what a beautiful shot. Your kookaburra is very similar to our kingfisher. I love the sun/moon dappled spots on it's chest. Absolutely brilliant. Well done.

Your picture is perfect. Art at its highest form. The sepia tone works well here and the Kookaburra looks content just taking in the sun/ moon together.

The bird seems diminutive but appears to be a giant on the spindly and delicate branches. The sepia sky is soft and really only highlights the life story here of the living bird and sun...

Very awesome shot. The tiny branches are perfectly situated around the bird who just looks like it might swoop down and take a bite out of the moon.
