I love to look out at the ocean on a stormy day, with my feet safely on land :) Great photo!

What a stormy sea. I sure wouldn't have been standing on the end of that pier like those people are.

Undertow is another good word.
Stirring tide, the light makes it.

To me the sea, and especially the waters around Australia is fascinating, because during the war my dad had sailed those seas so often on his way to Perth. Thank you for sharing!

I've heard that undercurrents can be quite dangerous (or am I confusing it with undertow? Are they the same?). Anyway, it looks very inviting!

That is a wavy, moving, busy ocean. Nice shot.

I was hoping to go for a swim, but it looks a bit rough.

Swimmers get into trouble in Lakes Erie and Ontario all the time as the undercurrents are so bad...

Just the word 'undertow' is ominous. This is a beautiful shot. Nice work capturing the water's texture.
Happy Wednesday!

i miss the piers over the atlantic... the pacific,, at least in this area is lethal,, it kills so many people every year,, just pops off with a killer wave and drags them right in... we had like 4 deaths over the thanksgiving holiday....
