Winter Reds

Pic by Gemma Wiseman ~ Collage of red styles within nature's winter greys
~

Lately
Nature has trundled out
A series of bleak
Grey days ~
But
With a little effort
It is not hard
To find
The joy
The sanctuary of
Deepest
Winter
Reds

Pic collage by Gemma Wiseman ~ Red glass sculpture at Red Hill, red sign on an art gallery at Mornington and a shoe shop sporting some red glows ~ Mornington Peninsula

It's always so surprising to me to be reminded that the southern hemishpere is celebrating winter while the northern is celebrating summer. Fun reds you put into the collage. So did you buy anything on sale...

Red is such an outstanding colour and it just makes a statement, especially in wintertime, like its shouting, "Here I am!"

Nice collage, nice words, good idea!

I love your poem. Wonderful collages... that sculpture looks fascinating. I'll bet it picks up the light on a sunny day.

hard for me to imagine it's really winter down there, but it was even harder to see father Christmas in shorts when we were celebrating Christmas up here! I love your collage!
