Secret Dance

Pic collage of Edgar Degas' work by Gemma Wiseman
Edgar Degas broke with a classical sense of beauty and a formal sense of balanced composition. In the 1880's, he painted the sacred ballet world, imbuing it with a sense of real, every day humanity. Posed, stiffly seated subjects bent a little under his brushwork. He caught them off guard, it seemed.

I took 8 years of dance as a young girl. I never had the grace and passion for it that it takes to be really great at it! These are just lovely!

I love what you did with the artwork . . . particularly as I love the work of Degas . . . and of you!

The poetry is penetrating, as you analyze his work.

Thanks for participating at SIMPLY SNICKERS this week.

Blessings,
Linda
