AUSTRALIA ~ The Antipodes

AUSTRALIA ~ The Antipodes
I love a sunburnt country / A land of sweeping plains / Of ragged mountain ranges / Of droughts and flooding rains / I love her far horizons / I love her jewel-sea / Her beauty and her terror / The wide brown land for me / ~ Dorothea Mackellar (1885-1968)

My Light

Pic by Gemma Wiseman ~ A little light by night

Read Write prompt #34 ~ This little light of mine
~

When the nights
Roll in
And sight
Seems dim
I have the power
To beam
My own light
~

By day
My lantern may be just
Swinging
Tinted
Glass
But a little breeze
In a little sun
Is the power
To glimpse
To hold
To dream in
My own light

We are all beams of celestial light, but being able to see by our light is the key.

The echos of sound, "beam," "dream," beautiful music here and great strength in the meaning -- a wonderful combination. (and your photos are luminous, a joy to look at)

The flame seems to be feel like life itself in a dark world. The lit lanterns offer a softened light and are great in blue (water=life?) and green.
